Suzanne Corbeil joined The U15 as its inaugural Executive Director in March 2012. As Executive Director, Suzanne supports the U15 Executive Heads in advancing sound public policy that ensures our institutions and our country succeed in this globally competitive environment. She plays a critical role in convening the U15 Vice-Presidents Research and Academic/Provosts to advance our collective’s perspectives on issues of concern to the research enterprise in Canada. Suzanne is an accomplished executive and team builder, who has extensive leadership experience in public policy, stakeholder relations, management, and governance in the not-for-profit sector. Suzanne has held a number of senior positions at the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and the Ontario government. As an independent consultant and in volunteer leadership roles, Suzanne specializes in creating strategic alliances with key stakeholders in governments, the public sector and the private sector, and in leading corporate initiatives in areas such as finance, governance, and human resources.
