U15 Canada Executive Heads – Executive Committee

The word “Executive Head” refers to the president, rector, or principal of a U15 Canada member university. The Executive Heads make up the U15 Canada Board of Directors, the governing body of U15 Canada. The Executive Heads are supported by their respective chief academic officer (provost, vice-president, vice-principal or vice-rector) and their senior research officer (vice-president, vice-principal or vice-rector, research).

U15 Canada appoints a Chair through a process of peer nomination to lead the governing body. The Chair is supported in this function by a vice-chair(s), whose number will vary from time to time.

The Executive Committee consists of the current chair and one to four other members nominated by the overall membership. The committee is charged with acting on behalf of U15 Canada concerning operational matters related to the Directorate. The Executive Heads may also, from time to time, delegate authority to the Executive Committee to act on behalf of the full membership in particular areas.
