Making a difference: UBC students help frontline medical workers

COVID-19 may have changed every aspect of life as we know it, but it is also restoring our collective faith in humanity as stories emerge of people quietly lending a helping hand in their communities.

With clinical rotations and research activities suspended due to the pandemic, UBC students have quickly mobilized to do whatever they can help – whether it’s assisting front-line workers with childcare and grocery shopping, or offering to support public health efforts by responding to 8-1-1 calls and contact tracing.
